Beware of fraud
Registration for Convent GLUB 2027 is free. No intermediary is mandated to sell a registration or to guarantee a visa.
The four rules
- Registration for Convent GLUB 2027 is entirely free of charge.
- The GLUB mandates no intermediary. Do not pay any sum to anyone.
- Official correspondence comes only from contact@glubenin.org and glub229@gmail.com.
- No invitation letter guarantees that a visa will be granted.
How to recognise an attempted fraud
Scams targeting participants of international events almost always follow the same patterns. Here are the most frequent warning signs.
You are asked for money
Handling fees, fast-track fees, deposits, "badge charges": none of these exist.
You are guaranteed a visa
Nobody can guarantee that a visa will be granted. The decision rests exclusively with the competent authorities.
The sender's address differs
Check the sender's domain letter by letter. A single substituted character is enough to imitate an official address.
You are put under pressure
"Limited places", "last chance tonight": manufactured urgency is the scammer's first tool. The Committee never operates that way.
What the Committee will never do
- Payment Ask you to pay anything at all
- Banking details Ask for a card number or a bank transfer
- Password Ask for your password, through any channel
- Travel document Ask for your passport by instant messaging
- Intermediary Send you to an agency to register on your behalf
Reporting an attempt
Do not reply : forward it
Do not click any link and do not make any payment. Forward the complete message, including its headers, to contact@glubenin.org, or use the contact form and choose the subject "Report a fraud".
One registration address only
The only official point of entry is glubenin.org/convent-2027/en/inscription. Any other site offering to register you for Convent GLUB 2027 is illegitimate.
